Highly recommend this company to everyone looking for a competent removals firm. More than fair pricing, really professional crew, top-notch packing and wrapping materials - they got it all.Just a little more than a week ago, I had a very important house moving planned with a different company (not naming them for obvious reasons), who were an absolute nightmare - came completely unprepared, with only a few dirty blankets and a single roll of bubble wrap, nearly damaged some of my furniture before I kicked them out (they were charging roughly the same as AWT too), completely ruining my entire day.Thankfully, I was saved when I reached out to AWT, who were extremely quick in getting me a quote and a booking for the next working day.Alec Woolner on the communication side of things was very quick and efficient, while Alex and Daniel, the crew, were the definition of absolute professionalism and competence, who went above and beyond when it came to handling the heaviest and most fragile items.Long story short, everything got packed, wrapped and securely moved to my new place in record time, not even a single scratch on anything.While the whole process of moving may never truly be a complete stress-less endeavour, these guys definitely managed to alleviate a lot of said stress for me on that day. An absolutely deserved 5/5 stars rating from me!

Excellent experience, can’t recommend highly enough. Not the cheapest by far but the service is fantastic. Superbly professional. Very affable staff. We have moved 5 times in 6 years it’s always stressful but this was our best experience. The lads took all the stress and pressure away. Packing was completed by Eddie and his colleague very quickly and professionally. Nothing got broken or lost. Boxes were properly labelled so we knew exactly what was inside and not overpacked. Nothing was too heavy. On the day we had 6 or 7 chaps to load the van. It was 32C and they were sweating buckets as we moved from a 4th floor flat with no lift. Getting the furniture down was a huge challenge but so professionally done. They had also arranged the parking suspensions in advance for us. Unloading was done in less than 2 hours with 7 guys and all boxes left in the right rooms too! As a result we’ve been able to unpack most stuff within 24 hours! Matt the handyman was also a godsend to dismantle and reassemble the beds, wardrobes, dining table etc. all in all an excellent experience in fact our best move ever.

Reese helped us coordinate the move and was able to think through all the details - he was readily contactable right until the move. The packing team were extremely efficient and then the moving team was really impressive. Working with speed and efficiency, especially in dismantling the furniture and ensuring that get out from a tricky 4th floor flat could be as effective as possible. They worked with humour and energy, even in one of the hottest days of the year! I would thoroughly recommended AWTR.

Anthony Ward Thomas helped us move recently and we were very happy with the service. The sales rep (Jonathan Enderby) did a thorough job in scoping out the needs of the job and the team on the day made it all happen. We had difficult access issues and a number of huge pot plants to move and none of these things fazed the team. In fact they remained jovial, with a can-do attitude for the duration of the very long day. The team were polite and professional and made the day a lot less stressful than it could have been. We thank them wholeheartedly. Additional manpower was brought in to kick the job along and I guess this is the advantage of choosing a company with good resources. We selected AWT to move household stuff including furniture from a storage facility to a house. It may have been a relatively small load, but the people who set it up were very responsive, they gave a good and easy quote, the crew on the day were punctual, kept within the time agreed and took boxes upstairs when I didn't necessarily expect them to. They also had to do some DIY on a sofa that wouldn't go up the stairs. Very friendly, and an all-round excellent service. Highly recommended.

Really great experience using Ward Thomas when we moved in December 2022. The guys were lovely, professional and helpful. Nothing was an issue, they worked fast and packed up some of our stuff we hadn't had a chance to pack. Everything was moved carefully, nothing got broken or damaged and they were very careful about where they put everything in the new house. Really happy. They also collected our boxes and packing material very promptly and easily, between Christmas and New Year.The one bit of the service I wasn't happy with was that the admin people misquoted me, changed the quote once before we moved and then asked for slightly more money after our final invoice. Not very much, but I would be quite careful to go through your quote with the admin people and make sure everything is correct and it won't change afterwards.

The four guys who came on the day were very friendly, efficient and professional. They packed everything very quickly but carefully and marked the boxes well. We had multiple pick ups from different addresses to be collated and then sent to Ireland. The removers were polite and efficient, taking good care of all our furniture and valuables. Overall this was a complicated process and needed constant contact with central office. The only slight concern is that occasionally the delivery van showed up at the wrong address or had the incorrect phone number but on the day, that did not cause any severe problems.

Alex (my main contact at the office) always got back to me promptly whether by phione or email, I never had to chase. They provided very good value boxes for packing ahead of the removal date and, on the day, George and Julian were fantastic. We were so impressed by AWT. Their guys were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. We had a large bed frame which wouldn't fit up the staircase of our new house. They partly disassembled the frame and then reassembled it again upstairs, a very tricky and awkward job. We were impressed they were willing to do that for us. This is not just your average removal company they took control of our move, took delivery of a new US range cooker and fridge for us which had to be hoisted up to the third floor, organised the parking suspension the hoist and the removal of the old appliances. Arrived promptly at 8 am and worked hard throughout the day - even manged not to look too down-hearted when a sofa had been carried up ten floors and wouldn't go through a door! I recently moved a two bed apartment across town and used Anthony Ward Thomas; the advice before moving was really helpful and I appreciated their knowledge and recommendations for the correct van/package.On moving day, the two movers did absolutely everything themselves and I was able to continue packing while they took things down to the truck etc. I was amazed at how much they got in the truck and how quickly they did it.At the new place they scouted out the rooms and and basically put everything in the right locations without needing to be told. There were consistently friendly, joking and laughing all day.I was so impressed with the service and they made what I expected to be a really stressful day so easy and care-free.

Booked AWT to pack and move from London to Wales. They arrived promptly at 8am, worked like troopers to their first break.. then ploughed on till it was all done. A long day followed by a long drive the next day to Wales.. and back. Methodical, calm, organised packing. If only I could do it as well. Haven't unpacked everything yet, but what I have has survived the trip! Charlie from WT was extremely calm and efficient in the planning process and the packing/removals team worked unbelievably hard over the six days it took to move us. I've used AWT before, and it was a fab service. 8 years on, two kids and a lot more stuff and it was still incredible. The team moved us from a top 4th floor flat to a house. They were diligent at listening to the removal requests of where things should move, incredibly hardworking getting all the items from the top to the bottom floor, careful, considerate and stress free.
