Household Storage

Anthony Ward Thomas offers a safe & secure household storage space for quite literally everything that you need temporarily cleared. From antique furniture, to artwork, to clothes and toys and even pot plants, we provide a secure and easy household storage solution.

How It Works

If you’re downsizing or moving into a rental while you renovate your home, our removal men will pack, load and deliver whatever you’re taking and the items you’re storing will be packed specifically for storage. They’ll be loaded directly into containers on the lorry and we’ll then take them to our secure storage unit. If you’re not moving house but just suddenly discover you have too much stuff, it’ll work in exactly the same way, except quicker and without the stress of moving.

Safe But Still Accessible

All items that go into storage are packed and wrapped very specifically in top quality materials and are loaded into the container in such a way that nothing can move so items don’t rub or bang against each other. Containers can obviously be delivered whenever you need, however if you’re only after one or two items then you can of course come to our storage facility and we will bring your containers out for you. Also when your item is too big for a container, we do have a secure loose storage facility also on site.

Self Storage

Our household storage solution is an alternative to self storage but you do get similar access benefits as self storage as well as the whole process being a lot easier. If you intend to put your items into storage for a relatively long time, then you will find self storage is significantly less cost effective.

Fabian and his colleague were excellent at re-delivering my boxes and items back to my house. They were careful, efficient and polite whilst taking care of our newly renovated house. Emails to book the service were replied to promptly and efficiently. Would definitely use AWT again.

The whole team was brilliant. From the initial quote the the day of moving, everyone involved was very friendly and sorted everything out. On the moving day the six man team showed up, introduced themselves and then got straight to work. The were so quick, professional and careful with all of our things. Unpacking the lorry was just as fast and they rebuilt all our furniture and made sure not to damage the walls or the floors. I can't praise them enough the whole team was excellent. Despite the horrible hot weather they never stopped or slowed down, complete professionals.

Having had a bad experience with a previous move (with a different company) I was particularly grateful to the guys at Anthony Ward Thomas for making the experience so smooth. The guys they sent were all extremely polite and professional, and the packing and move went without hitch. What really stood out though was the thought they gave to the practicalities of unpacking everything once they had gone. Boxes were really helpfully labelled; significant effort was put into ensuring everything was where I would need it when it came to unpacking (even down to box placement); and nothing was too much effort, even when initial plans for where things would go needed to change. Even when everything was in and reassembled, they double checked that there was nothing else I needed form them before they left. And all of this they did during an intense heatwave, but still efficiently and carefully, despite the stifling heat. I am so grateful to all of them for taking so much of the stress out of the move, and would use them again in a heartbeat.
