London is the place to be for events and days out, and every season offers something you won’t find anywhere else. We’re right in the middle of spring, but there are plenty of upcoming events in the capital. There are so many to choose from; you’ll need to make some tough decisions. You could spend an entire week in the London and still not manage to take everything in. Which is why London is one of the most popular tourist cities in the world.
To help our followers decide what to do in London this spring, we’ve put together our own Ward Thomas list. Whether you’re visiting London or you’re a resident, we hope that our list of upcoming events will help you get the most out of your time here.
Ward Thomas’s Pick of London’s Upcoming Events –
RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018 – Stunning flowers, innovative garden designs and epic horticultural exhibits at this prestigious flower show. This event may need no introductions but year on year it wows visitors. www.rhs.org.uk
Sense of Space – this pop-up exhibition offers a sensory experience like none other. With four rooms to investigate, you’ll be drawn into an intimate connection with your senses. One of the spaces is said to have the effect of an endless meadow of pink flora, in addition to what the host refers to as the ‘infinity garden’. You won’t find an event like Sense of Space anywhere else, and it’s free.
Red, Blue, White: Global Colours – if you love art and photography exhibitions, prepare to be taken around the world in images. With over thirty-seven photographers hailing from twenty-four countries, this exhibition offers stunning imagery from a range of different perspectives. Global Colours starts on the 23rd of April and runs until the 26th of May, so plenty of time to take it in.
The Way of the World – if you fancy taking in a show, you should book your ticket for William Congreve’s ‘The Way of the World’. It begins on the 23rd of April until the 26th of May, and you’ll find it at the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden. This Restoration comedy is as complex as it is entertaining, offering a unique theatre experience.
Other Amazing Reasons to Relocate to London –
Ward Thomas moves thousands of people in London every month, and we always speak to our customers to see why they choose to relocate to London. A lot of people do so because of the entertainment and events available. After visiting London on a regular basis, they love the shopping, theatres and art galleries. The fine-dining, excellent pubs and bars, musicals at the West End, to name a few.
A lot of people trade in their larger properties and head for the more affluent areas in London. Moving to London represents a broader range of things to do and ways to enjoy their free time. Especially for people who are retiring and want to move into a small, more luxurious property. They no longer need a four-bedroom detached house in Kent and crave the lifestyle of London.
London has some of the best transport links in the UK, making it possible to visit family and friends back home. With two major airports and the Eurostar, you can quickly hop on a flight to anywhere in the world from the capital. And as for inner-city transport – the Tube is one of Europe’s most reliable transport systems. You’re also never too far away from a Black Cab or an Uber.
